Heating
Heating repair and heat pump service in Brunswick, GA
Heating service is repairing and maintaining the equipment that warms your house — usually a heat pump running in reverse, sometimes a gas furnace or electric strip heat. You need it when the house will not reach the setting on a cold morning, the unit blows cool air, or the bill jumps in January.

Signs you need this
Brunswick heating seasons are short, which is exactly why problems hide. A system can sit idle from March to December and then fail the first cold night.
- The air from the vents is barely warm and the house creeps up one degree an hour on a 38-degree morning.
- Your thermostat says auxiliary or emergency heat and stays there — that is strip heat doing the work at three times the cost.
- A burning-dust smell that does not clear after the first hour of the season, or any smell of gas at all. Gas smell means leave the house and call the gas company first.
- The outdoor unit ices over in winter and never clears, meaning the defrost cycle has quit.
- A gas furnace that lights, runs a couple of minutes, then shuts down and tries again.
- Loud clanging or grinding at startup, or a system that trips the breaker when heat calls.

Call (912) 265-2222What the visit looks like
Step 1
Arrival
We call ahead, arrive in the window, and start by asking what you noticed and when. Cold-morning symptoms tell us a lot.
Step 2
Diagnosis
Heat pump: reversing valve, defrost board, charge, and strip-heat staging. Gas: ignitor, flame sensor, gas pressure, heat exchanger, and a carbon monoxide check.
Step 3
The quote
A written price before work starts. If we find a cracked heat exchanger we will tell you plainly why we are shutting the unit down.
Step 4
The work
Common parts ride on the trucks, so most heating repairs finish in the same visit. We cycle the system through a full heat call before leaving.
What it costs, before we start
The diagnostic is $95, covering the full heating check, and it comes off the repair if you approve the work that day. Safety findings — gas leaks, carbon monoxide, a cracked exchanger — get explained to you whether you buy a repair or not.
Repair prices are written down before we start, parts and labor together, so nothing is discovered at the end.
Price match on any fair local quote for the same work. Furnace and heat pump replacements qualify for 0% financing for 18 months on approved credit.

Questions we get
Why does my heat pump blow cool air when it is running?
Heat pumps deliver air around 90 to 100 degrees, which feels cool against 98-degree skin — that part is normal. What is not normal is the house losing ground, ice that never clears, or the auxiliary light staying on. Those point at charge, defrost, or the reversing valve, and they are all things we can test in one visit.
Is a heat pump enough for our winters?
For Glynn County, yes. We see a handful of nights near freezing, and a properly sized heat pump with backup strip heat handles them. Dual fuel makes sense mostly for houses that already have gas service and a well-placed furnace.
Do I need heating maintenance if I barely use it?
It is exactly the systems that sit idle that fail. We check heat operation during the fall visit on our twice-a-year plan, so you find out in October rather than on the coldest night in January when everyone is calling at once.
My upstairs is cold and the downstairs roasts. Can that be fixed?
Usually, and usually without new equipment. It is normally duct sizing, leaky returns, or a damper that has never been balanced. We measure static pressure and airflow per room and quote the duct fix rather than selling you a bigger system to fight the imbalance.
Every hour without AC gets worse.
